What to Expect When Visiting Heraklion, Heraklion Prefecture, Greece
You will be introduced to locally produced wines and meet the people behind them. You will taste some unique labels. You will learn the stories of each label because every wine has its own Story.
You will arrive at Lyrarakis Winery in Alagni Village Area. A host will welcome and inform you about the winery and the services. A tour of the winery will follow, including a product presentation, cellar, and the museum corner.
Outside of the main building and under a beautiful pergola, you will taste some of the most famous wines on the island and all over Greece. There are 2 different wine tasting programs and these are the following,
1. Bacchus wine tasting:
A guided tasting of 6 different types of Cretan wine. Dive into the Cretan wine culture by tasting the most iconic local varieties and our signature estate blends. (Available with this Booking)
2. Bacchus advanced wine tasting
A guided tasting of 8 premium wine labels. Taste rare wines of our Single Area range where the indigenous grape varieties express their finest character through selected privileged terroirs. (Not available with this ticket, an extra charge of 8,00 Euros will be paid to the winery to upgrade your tasting package to this package)
