Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Delhi – Haridwar (215kms/7 Hrs)

Stop At: Haridwar, Haridwar, Haridwar District, Uttarakhand
Welcome to New Delhi. You are greeted and assisted on arrival at Delhi Airport /Railway station by Namaste India Trip representative and drive to Haridwar. On arrival check – in at hotel. In the evening proceed to perform ritualistic bathing on the banks of pious river the Ganges and join the enchanting evening Aarti at Har – ki – Pauri. Brahma Kund, the spot where the Amrit (nectar) spilled out of the pitcher is located at Har ki Pauri and is considered to be prime ghat of Haridwar if time permits one can visit Manasa Devi temple.

Day 2: Haridwar– Dehradun –Mussoorie – Barkot (200kms/7hrs)

Stop At: Dehradun, Dehradun, Dehradun District, Uttarakhand
Morning drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. En-route visit Kempty Fall and enjoy the beauty of Himalayas, (route may be changed as per road condition & traffic) later drive straight to Barkot for night stay.

Day 3: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (45 Kms road/ 6 kms Trek)

Stop At: Yamunotri, Yamunotri, Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand
Early Morning drop to Janki Chatti, the trek starts from here to Yamunotri (6kms). On arrival leave the vehicle and start to ascend on the trek route either by walk or pony/ doli (at own cost). On arrival at Yamunotri purchase, Prasad forms local small shops, then proceed to holy dip in natural hot water spring or in river Yamuna (icy cold water). One can cook rice in “Surya Kund” (hot water spring), dipping in a muslin cloth and take cooked rice home as “Prasadam”. Pooja can be offered to mythological “Divya Shila”. Take blessings of Mata Yamuna and trek down to Jankichatti. Later drive back to Barkot for night stay.
Yamunotri Temple: The temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna who is believed supposed to be the daughter of Lord Surya and sister of Yamraj. Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. Being at high altitude it was destroyed several times by avalanches in the present century and rebuilt again.
Surya Kund: There is the number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is “Surya Kund” dedicated to Lord Surya.
Divya Shila: According to mythology, river Yamuna came out very first time from “DivyaShila”. This is worshipping the place of Yamuna Mata.

Day 4: Barkot – Uttarkashi (90 kms/4hrs)

Stop At: Uttarkashi, Uttarkashi, Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand
Morning departs to Uttarkashi, En-route visit Prakateswar Mahadev (Shiv Cave) &famous Kashi Vishwanath temple at Uttarkashi. On arrival check-in at hotel, overnight stay at hotel.
Uttarkashi: Uttarkashi is situated on the banks of holy river Bhagirathi which is prime tributary of river Ganges. This place is associated with Lord Shiva, once he resided here. Some of the important temples worth visiting are Kashi Vishwanath temple, ancient Shakti Mata temple with a huge my thological trident (trishul), Hanuman temple, etc.

Day 5: Uttarkashi – Gangotri -Uttarkashi (100 kms/4hrs)

Stop At: Gangotri, Gangotri, Uttarkashi District, Uttarakhand
Morning proceeds to Gangotri (3048mts), en-route enjoy the drive parallel to River Bhagirathi and the most magnificent view of the Himalayas. On arrival, Gangotri has a holy dip in river Bhagirathi (icy cold water). Perform Pooja and Hindu rites at the bank of the river. Then proceed for darshan of Mata Ganga, Lord Shiva, Hanuman, Vinayaka, and Bhagirath Maharaj, have blessings and return back to Uttarkashi. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Harsil: Harsil is an unspoiled and hidden jewel of Uttrakhand, dense Deodar forest, gushing water Bhagrati River, chirping of Birds, salubrious environment & pleasant weather make it a perfect destination.

Gangotri Temple: The temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga who is supposed to be the daughter of Heaven. The temple was constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi.

Day 6: Uttarkashi – Sitapur (280 kms /8Hrs)

Morning drive to Sitapur / Guptkashi. On arrival do Registration for visiting Kedarnath, overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 7: Sitapur – Kedarnath – Sitapur (19 kms Trek/6 Hrs)

Stop At: Kedarnath, Kedarnath, Rudraprayag District, Uttarakhand
Early morning drop to Sonprayag (for trek route) trek starts from here to Kedarnath. S tart to ascend on the trek route either by walk or pony / doli (at own cost). Helicopter service is also available for Kedarnath, so one can take the helicopter to Kedarnath (at own cost). Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries, and clothes. After performing Pooja & Darshan of Shri Kedarnathji return to Sitapur. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 Jyotirlingam of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector, and the destroyer. According to legends, Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull, on being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhmaheshwar and his locks (hair) with the head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar

Day 8: Sitapur – Badrinath (230 kms/ 9Hrs)

Stop At: Badrinath, Badrinath, Chamoli District, Uttarakhand
Morning transfer to Badrinath, en-route visit Rudraprayag, Karanprayag, Nandprayag, Vishnu Prayag, &Joshimath (Narshimha Temple) on arrival check in at hotel, in the evening visit Badrinath temple, overnight stay at hotel.
Rudraprayag: It is the confluence of river Mandakiniand Alananda, Rudranath, Temple & Narad Silla.
Karanprayag: It is the confluence of river Pinder and Alananda
Nandprayag: It is the confluence of river Nandakani and Alananda
Vishnu Prayag :- It is the confluence of river Dhauliganga and Alananda
Joshimath: is situated on the slopes above the confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga. Joshimath is one of four ‘Maths’ established by Adi Shankaracharya. There are many temples in the township most important is a temple of Narsimha in the commotion of Lord Vishnu. The left arm of this deity withers with time and the popular belief holds that the day arm completely withers Badrinath valley will cease to exist and the Godsresidence will transfer to neighboring Niti Valley at BhavishyaBadri.

Day 9: Badrinath – Pipalkoti (80kms/4 hrs

Stop At: Pipalkoti, Pipalkoti, Chamoli District, Uttarakhand
Morning visit temple after a holy dip in Taptkund. Proceedthrough colorful entrance of the temple have Darshan of Badrivishal along with Ganesh, Kubera, Garuda, Narada, Udhhav, Nar & Narayan. Also see another small temples inside the temple compound i.e. Laxmimata, Nar-Narayana, Hanuman, Ghantakarn and Kaamdhenu. One can get ‘Charnamirt’(abhishekamjal) in side compound. Brahamakapal is significant for Pinddam Shraddh of ancestors (Pitrus), one can perform rite here.
Later a visit of Mana Village (India’s last village towards Indo-Tibetan border), which includes VyasaGufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhimpul, Saraswati river etc, In the evening transfer to Pipalkoti, Overnight stay at Pipalkoti.
Badrinath: one of the ‘Four Dhams’ is one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country and is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries, thus the place got name “Badri van”, meaning “forest of berries”.
TaptKund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
NaradKund : A recess in the river, near TaptKund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered by Jagad Guru Shankaracharya and established in temple.
Brahma Kapal : A flat platform on the bank of river Alaknanda. Hindus perform propitiating rites for their deceased ancestors.
Charanpaduka : 3kms. Away is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder.
Mata MurtyTemple : Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include SeshNetra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.
ManaVillage : Inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, it is the last Indian village before Tibet.
BhimPul :- On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
Vyas Gufa (cave): Near Mana village, there is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

Morning drive back to Haridwar. En-route see the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda in Devprayag. Arrival at Rishikesh&proceed for Sightseeing which covers the magnificent ashrams and famous Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula, Shivanand Ashram, Gita Bhavan, PramarthNiketan, Later drive to Haridwar. Overnight stay at the hotel.
