Stop At: Rashtrapati Bhavan, Rajpath, New Delhi 110004 India

After meeting our guide at exit gate no 4 of the RK Ashram Metro station, we immediately board an TUK TUK to reach “Rashtrapati Bhawan”. You will walk past the imposing Presidential Palace with its huge gardens. It is one of the largest residences of a Head of State in the world. Near to it stands the circular colonnaded building of the Parliament House. We wont go inside the palace obviously because Our President resides in there.

Stop At: India Gate, Rajpath Near Connaught Place New Delhi, New Delhi 110001 India

Walk upto the India Gate, a majestic War Memorial that was built in honor of the 70 000 soldiers of the British Indian army who lost their lives in the First World War. We also walk past the the stately avenue of Raj Path that is flanked by offices of the Government of India towards one end.

Stop At: 1 Sacred Heart Cathedral Sacred Heart Cathedral Sacred Heart Cathedral Ashok Place, New Delhi 110001 India

One of the oldest church bruildings in New Delhi, the Sacred Heart Cathedral is the headquarters of the Catholic Archdiocese in Delhi. Construction of the Sacred Heart Cathedral began in 1930 and the building was designed by British architect Henry Medd. Inspired by Italian architecture, the building of the cathedral is complete with white pillars holding up a canopy and circular turrets rising up from the roof. The interior of the cathedral has a high domed ceiling and wide arches. There is also a large and impressive fresco of the Last Supper at the altar.

Stop At: Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Ashoka Road Connaught Place, New Delhi 110001 India

Next visit a Sikh Temple, Gurdwara Bangla Sahib, situated close by in Connaught Place, the shopping district of New Delhi. The golden dome and flagpole of the Gurdwara are a major landmark of Delhi. The water tank in the Gurdwara is considered to have healing powers. Every day thousands of people are provided free meals from the large kitchen of the Gurdwara. After the visit to the Gurudwara, we shall walk back to the “RK Ashram metro station” where the tour finally comes to the end.
