And yes, I’m talking about the view from the Channarayana Durga peak, where you will be awestruck with mesmerizing valley you get to see from the 3 tier hill fort!!!

Channarayana Durga is a strategic fort which is located at around 100kms from Bengaluru, near Tumkur. It was initiated by Chikkappa Gouda, the local king of Madhugiri and later it was completed by the feudal lord Channappa Gowda.

This fort has changed hands from Maratha rulers, then Mysore Wodeyars and then to the Britishers and all have had their bits of shares.

The trekking trail starts from a small and beautiful village in the base followed by a steep rocky climb to reach the fort entrance. You can find old structures that were used to store food grains and war weapons and a temple overlooking a beautiful small pond that is surrounded by lots of Greenery. Once you reach the top, you can find watchtowers and also get to see the splendid 360° view of the valley.
