Day 1: Cochin/ Munnar – 150Kms / 3 ½ Hrs

Stop At: Mattupetty Dam, Munnar Top Station Highway, Munnar 685616 India
One of the main attractions of Munnar, Mattupetty Dam is about 13 km from the town and was constructed in the 1940s for the purpose of water conservation and hydroelectricity generation. A walk along this concrete gravity dam leads you to the lake which is the highlight of the place. This serene lake attracts a number of animals and birds, making it a haven for tourists.

Stop At: Rajamalai (Eravikulam) National Park, Munnar India
Eravikulam National Park is one of the favoured tourist destinations of Kerala. This park is home to numerous protected species of flora and fauna which include rare terrestrial and epiphytic orchids, beautiful wild balsams, and the endangered species of Nilgiri Tahr and Hemitragus Hylocrious.

The resplendent tea plantations in Munnar are like a slice of haven plucked from the skies above. Perched at several feet over the sea level and boasting of misty skies above and green carpeted fields below, these splendid gardens and tea plantations are a must visit for every traveller. Sprawling over vast acres of lands, the umpteen tea plantations are sure to lure you with their bewitching beauty and charm. (Remarks :- Tea Museum Closed on Every Monday)
