This fort is considered as one of the strongest marine forts of India. The Island fort of Janjira at Murud is approached by sailboats from Rajapuri jetty. The fort, built at the end of the 17th century, is almost entirely intact today.

Itinerary
Day 1: Mumbai to Kashid
Stop At: Kashid, Kashid, Raigad District, Maharashtra
On the first day, your tour begins with a pick up from your hotel/residence in Mumbai city limits.Post pick up you will be driven to Murud Janjira which is about 160 kilometres from Mumbai and would take you 4 and a half hours to reach Murud Janjira.You may explore the fort at your own pace, usually to reach the fort on the oval-shaped rock one has to board sailboats from Rajapuri jetty.
After the completion of the Murud-Janjira tour, you will be dropped back your hotel/resort Kashid, which is a serene coastal town close to Murud Janjira.

Day 2: Phansad wildlife sanctuary to Mumbai return
Stop At: Phansad Bird Sanctuary, Murud and Roha Talukas 12 Km from Kashid Beach, 25Km from Roha, Raigad 402401 India
Morning visit Phansad Wildlife Sanctuary, Boasting of a number of animals, birds, reptiles and insects, the sanctuary is best visited between October to April. Some of the major animals found here includes sambar, barking deer, leopard, panther and wild boars. In addition, there are about 148 species of birds found in this park – some of which includes, yellow footed green pigeon, Asian paradise flycatcher, black eagle, forest wagtail, pied hornbill and malkoha among others.
Later, you will be driven from your Kashid hotel/resort to your hotel/airport in Mumbai
