Day 1: New Delhi – Agra

Stop At: Agra Fort Rakabgani, Agra 282003 India
Begin the trip at 08:30 AM with a private pickup from the Delhi airport , hotel or other desired location in Delhi, Gurugram or Noida or Ghaziabad , After that, you will be taken to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, via a 3-hour drive on the expressway. Upon arrival in
Agra you will check-in to your 4-star hotel or 5* Hotels .

Afternoon sightseeing of Agra includes a visit to the historic
Agra Fort (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). This important 16th-century Mughal monument known as the Red Fort of Agra due to its red sandstone construction stands near the gardens of the

Taj Mahal. Within this powerful fortress’s 2.5-km-long walls there are many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the
Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan. You will also see numerous audience halls, such as the Diwan-i- Khas, and two very beautiful mosques.
In the evening, proceed to a photo tour of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh — Moonlight Garden — believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the ivory-white marble mausoleum on moonlit nights, away from the maddening crowd. The garden complex is situated on the left bank of the Yamuna River opposite the Taj Mahal. The forestry, plantations and agricultural fields provide a green forecourt to the Taj Mahal and its reflection in the Yamuna. The gardens are perfectly aligned with the ones at Mehtab Bagh, and the view of the Taj Mahal from the fountain directly in front of the entrance gate is truly a special one.

At sunrise when the skies tend to be clear and the crowds are more manageable, get an up close and personal experience by exploring the magnificent Taj Mahal, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The first rays of sun reflecting off the glistening white marble of the monument are truly something special and are undoubtedly the highlight of the tour.

Head back to the hotel for breakfast and check out after which you will have free time to explore the local handicrafts and shopping centers of the city where one can look for marble inlay work, fine quality carpets, Zari and embroidery, leather goods, etc. Following lunch, visit Itimad-ud-Daulah, nicknamed the Baby Taj. This exquisite tomb for Mirza Ghiyas Beg is arguably more delicate in appearance than the Taj Mahal due to its particularly finely carved jali (marble lattice screens).
