Itinerary

Day 1: Taj Mahal

Stop At: Taj Mahal, Dharmapuri, Forest Colony, Tajganj, Agra 282001 India
630AM- We leave Delhi and drive towards Agra.

10AM- The Taj Mahal
They say that there are two kinds of people in this world. Those who have seen the Taj Mahal and those who haven’t! Today we will experience the the world’s most recognizable and beautiful man-made structure. Over the course of this tour we will talk about many mysteries and hidden secrets about the Taj Mahal. Like the other Taj Mahal which was to be built with black marble adjacent to the White wonder! Towards the end of this visit you will have consensus on the fact that no other entity in this world personifies eternal love better than the Taj Mahal!

Stop At: Fatehpur Sikri, Fatehpur Sikri, Agra District, Uttar Pradesh
We head to Fatehpur Sikri, the magnificent ancient city near Agra built by Akbar, the great Mughal Emperor. The speciality of Fatehpur Sikri is that it is the best preserved heritage site form the Mughal Era. Akbar was inspired by his ancestor Timur’s Persian Courts and this was reflected in the Persian design principles of Fatehpur Sikri. The Red Sandstone structures also reflect elements from Hindu and Jain styles of Architecture. Diwan-i-Am, Diwan-i-Khas, Panch Mahal, Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid are the highlights of Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri remained the capital of Mughals for only 10 years after which Akbar moved to Lahore.

Day 2: Pink city of Jaipur

Stop At: Amber Palace, Devisinghpura, Amer, Jaipur 302001 India
Raja Man Singh I is credited with starting the construction of this red sandstone and white marble Palace.. The formidable walls defended its residents from enemy attacks. Maota Lake provides a splendid backdrop. Intricate wall paintings, frescos and the use of precious gems and jewels in these paintings add to its timeless beauty.

Stop At: Jal Mahal, Amer Road, Jaipur 302002 India
Possibly the most serene sight amidst the chaos of Jaipur is the beautiful Jal Mahal Jaipur, the Water Palace. This low-rise symmetrical palace, that once was a shooting lodge for the Maharajah, appears to float in the centre of Sagar Lake. The light sand coloured stone walls of the Jal Mahal Jaipur are at a stark contrast to the deep blue of the waters of the lake.

Stop At: Hawa Mahal – Palace of Wind, Hawa Mahal Tripolia Bazaar Road Badi Choupad, J.D.A. Market, Pink City, Jaipur 302002 India
Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1798, Hawa Mahal is a five-storey extension in the form of a honeycomb. This unique building has 953 small windows, called jharokas, decorated with intricate lattice work. The entire palace represents the crown of the Hindu God, Lord Krishna. Even though this palace was built during ancient times, it reflects the scientific vision of Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in a distinct way. The windows of this palace have been designed in such a way that irrespective of the time or season of the year, cool breeze always persists inside the palace.

Stop At: City Palace of Jaipur, Tripolia Bazar Near Jantar Mantar, Jaipur 3023002 India
The palace was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. As most structures in Jaipur this palace also reflects the fusion of Mughal and Rajput architecture. We will get to see gardens, buildings and courtyards, temple and a museum.

Day 3: Blue city of Jodhpur

730 AM- Depart for Jodhpur by road. 130 PM- Arrive in Jodhpur

Stop At: Mehrangarh Fort, Fort Rd., Jodhpur 342006 India
Mehrangarh is one of the most spectacular forts in India. It is perched in an impregnable rock at 120 metres above the ground. It was built in 1438 by Rao Jodha, the founder of the city of Jodhpur. Some scenes in the Hollywood movie “The Dark Knight Rises” were shot in this fort!

Stop At: Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park, Fort Rd, Jodhpur India
Rao Jodha Desert Rock Park was created in 2006 to try and restore the natural ecology. Thorny shrubs were removed and a suitable environment was created for native rock- loving plants to thrive.

Stop At: Jaswant Thada, Near Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur India
This memorial for Rajput community is made of white marble. This cenotaph was built in the 19th century by Maharaja Sardar Singh in the memory of his father, Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, the 33rd Rathore ruler of Jodhpur. The paintings and portraits inside tell the story of the rulers of Jodhpur.

Day 4: Ranakpur and Udaipur

8AM- We drive to Ranakpur. 11AM- Arrive in Ranakpur

Stop At: Ranakpur Jain Temple, Desuri Tehsil, Sadri 306702 India
Built by a wealthy Businessman and a follower of Jain faith, the Jain Temple is a magnificent complex with 29 halls and 80 domes supported by 1444 marble pillars, each of them intricately and artistically carved. Whats scintillating is that no two pillars are alike.

Stop At: City Palace of Udaipur, Jagdish Temple Rd City Palace Complex, Udaipur 313001 India
A 2 hour drive will bring us to Udaipur.
The City Palace was built in 1559 AD by Maharana Udai Singh to commemorate the new capital of Udaipur. The present Palace is a contribution from many Kings of the Mewar dynasty over the last 400 years. The Palace is a blend of medieval European and traditional Indian architectural styles. It’s a magnificent experience exploring this Palace built with granite and marble with its numerous towers, domes and arches.

Stop At: Lake Pichola, Udaipur India
Our next destination is the world-renowned Lake Pichola. The lake has an interesting origin. It was built by Pichhu Banjara, a gypsy tribesman who transported grain in the late 14th century. We take a boat ride and sip in the beauty of incredible palaces, marble temples, family mansions, bathing ghats.

Day 5: Jadgish temple and return to Delhi

Stop At: Jagdish Temple Road, Jagdish Temple Rd, Old City, Udaipur, Rajasthan 313001, India
After breakfast we will visit the oldest temple of Udaipur called the Jagadish temple. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, this temple was built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh. A marble flight of 32 steps leads to the main shrine. There is a magnificent brass structure of Garuda, the celestial bird and guardian of Lord Vishnu
