Taman Ayun Temple complex comprises four different divisions, one ranking higher than the other. The first is referred to as the Jaba or outer division, accessible only through a single entrance and walkway over the ponds. Inside, near the entrance is a small guardian shrine and on the right is a large wantilan hall where the communal gatherings take place. A tall fountain with spouts jutting up and out to the cardinal directions can be seen in this area. Onto the next court, a small temple compound by the name of Pura Luhuring Purnama can be seen, the second and third terraces are slightly higher than the first. To enter Taman Ayun Temple visitors must go through a second gate where a shelter called Bale Pengubengan greets them with ornamental features that depict the nine Hindu gods that guard the nine points of the compass, referred to as Dewata Nawa Sanga.

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, literally the source temple of Lake Beratan, is easily the island most iconic sanctuary sharing the scenic qualities with the seaside temples of Uluwatu and Tanah Lot. The smooth reflective surface of the lake surrounding most of the temple base creates a unique floating impression, while the mountain range of the Bedugul region encircling the lake provides the temple with a scenic backdrop. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple was built in the 17th century in worship of the main Hindu trinity, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, as well as the lake goddess, Dewi Danu. The sight and cool atmosphere of the Bali uplands have made the lake and this temple a favorite sightseeing and recreational spot as well as a frequently photographed site. The history of the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple can be traced back to the rise of the Mengwi kingdom.

Jatiluwih Rice Terrace pretty much cover the region of the namesake upland village in West Bali, most famous for its landscapes that are both dramatic and truly exotic. The site is one of the island must see natural panoramas on par with Mount Batur and the caldera of Kintamani. The cool highlands and the breathtaking scenery of this village at the foot of Mount Batukaru makes for wonderful photo opportunities, and serves as a soothing retreat away from the island crowded south. Once a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site Jatiluwih Rice Terrace comprises over 600Ha of rice fields that follow the flowing hillside topography of the Batukaru mountain range. These are well-maintained by a traditional water management cooperative known as subak, which dates back to the 9th century. The cooperative itself eventually won recognition as a dominant factor in Bali cultural landscape entry on UNESCO World Heritage List.

Avocados, bananas, jackfruits, cacao, morninga, passion fruits, durians, noni, soursop, mangosteens, green mangoes, mulberries, blackberries, strawberries, elderberry, kaliasem, green beans, beetroot, carrot, cucumber, celery, parsley, green and purple aubergine pumpkins, chillies, limes, sweet potatoes, labu Siam, pakis, bitter gourd, mint, basil, rosemary, thyme, dill, sugar cane, cassava, pandan, local rubharb, small potatoes…to name some. We believe in eating with the seasons, and very often we harvest these wild growns for garden-to-table meals, prepared in home cooked manner, and has always been a special treat for our guests. Surpluses such as palm nectar and red rice are packed and sold in organic fine foods markets.
