After hotel pickup by your private guide, your tour starts with visits to Ubud’s popular art villages: Tohpati, known for batik; Celuk, known for gold and silver; Batuan, known for painting; and Mas, known for wood carving.
In Batuan, you’ll also have the chance to see a Balinese house compound—the traditional way families live on the island. Learn a bit about the daily routine for locals before heading to your next spot, Desa Batuan Temple, where you can admire typical architecture and Balinese ornamentation on the entrance gate and inside the structure.
From here, your guide takes you on the 15-minute drive to central Ubud to visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary and Puri Saren Palace, where the royal family of Ubud lives.
