Ercolano Trip Overview
During the visit with our professional English-speaking REAL Archaeologist, you’ll see the most important houses and building of the Herculaneum (according to the availability calendar established by Herculaneum Superintendence) like the “House of Dears” (one of the most luxurious Herculaneum residences, with its terrace overlooking the sea and the famous deer statues assailed by a herd of dogs, which give the house its name), the house of “Neptune and Amphitrite”, the “Samnite” house, the thermal baths etc. and we’ll take a look at the newly opened pavilion (Padiglione della Barca), that houses the remains of a boat found charred on the beach with a few dozen skeletons and coins. Probably is the last desperate attempt to escape from the eruption.
