Napoli Trip Overview

– Meeting point and pick-up with your Chauffeur and drive to Pompeii first.
– Entering Pompeii by the Sea Gate with your Licensed Tour Guide you will experience how the citizens of the greatest empire the world has ever known lived and loved, worked and played, ate and drank and died. Because of the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79, twenty feet of volcanic ash and pumice stone covered Pompeii.
– In the second part of the day you will drive south via the motorway towards Mount Vesuvius, Europe’s only still-active volcano.
– Driving along the winding roads of the volcanic slopes, admiring stunning views of the Neapolitan and Caserta plain, until approximately 3,000 feet, where the road comes to the end.
– There (if you want!) begin your trek on foot over narrow paths that zigzag up the mountain another 1,000 feet to reach the very top of the crater, to walk along the rim to get the very best pictures.
– Once back to the parking lot you will proceed back to the hotel.
