Ottaviano Trip Overview
Walk the most fascinating path of the Vesuvius National Park and admire the spectacular scenery with its protagonist Vesuvius during the trek along The Valley of Hell.
After a briefing with a guide you will leave for this exciting adventure. You will cross the famous “Valley of Delights” with its famous chalets surrounded by greenery at the foot of Vesuvius, dominated by the Medici Castle, majestic in all its untouched beauty. From here, going southwards, the path continues towards the Valle dell’Inferno and is characterized by a soil consisting of pyroclastic deposits, that is volcanic material emitted during the explosive eruptions of Vesuvius.The path will take you up to 1000 m, where you will stop for a picnic lunch and continue for the last part of the track, the most exciting of all, the ascent to the crater that you will do independently, following your own pace and once you reach the top, you can learn more about the geology of the volcano from the guides of the national park.
