Paternopoli Trip Overview
The journey begins at the “Cantina Fiorentino”, realized with bio-architectural techniques, in local chestnut wood. It will be followed the whole cycle of wine production, from the arrival of grapes to the barrique cellar. At the end of the visit, the tasting of a selection of Irpinia DOCG wines.
The journey continues in the charming village of Taurasi, a relaxing walk up to the Castello Marchionale which dominates the village.
After the visit of the village, the journey ends at Cantine Caggiano, where you will walk among thousands of bottles resting in niches carved in the stone walls, listening to the travel stories of the founder and photojournalist Antonio Caggiano and tasting the prestigious wine.
A real museum of wine culture. Alongside tools and hundreds of barrels there is a variety of works of art made of wood, glass and stone, some made by Antonio himself, others given by artist friends which make the atmosphere even more suggestive.
