Stop At: Pompeii Archaeological Park, Porta Marina (via Villa dei Misteri), 80045 Pompeii Italy

Pompeii

Is the most stunning archaeological site on the Italian Peninsula and one of the most visited. The ruins of Pompeii are an open air museum where visitors can go back in time and discover a city that had been buried in ashes until 1748. Visitors experience the city much as it existed more than 2000 years ago.

Duration: 2 hours

Stop At: Parco Acheologico di Ercolano, Corso Resina, 187, 80056 Ercolano Italy

Herculaneum

The smaller sister of Pompeii, is a destination for lovers of beauty. Visitors to the ancient city have the rare opportunity to see perfectly intact patrician villas. A miracle of preservation where even the wood and ropes of the 2000 year old city are on display, along with stunning brick work, mosaics, and frescos. The detail with which Herculaneum has been preserved is remarkable considering the violence of the 500 C° volcanic flows which ravaged the city.

Stop At: Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Napoli, Piazza Museo Nazionale 19, 80135, Naples Italy

Napoli

See Naples and then die…the indelible description of a city that literally embraces visitors with its fresh local cuisine, the animated and theatrical characteristics of its inhabitants, and its lust for life. Discover a city that teems with energy and is animated by contradiction, regarded by many as the most alive, creative, and beautiful city in Italy. How could one resist spending time in what Goethe once called a “little devil’s paradise?” One cannot die without having seen it!
