Private guided tour to Torrechiara castle, built between 1448 and 1460 by Pier Maria Rossi. The manor had a defensive purpose, shown by three layers of walls and four corner towers, and still a leisure character, shown by the gorgeous frescoes by Cesare Baglione and Benedetto Bembo. The amazing “Camera d’Oro”, ascribed to the last one, celebrates the love story between Pier Maria Rossi and Bianca Pellegrini, together with the family power, since all the castles ruled by the Count are represented.
The tour will go through the stables, the ancient kitchens, the main court, Saint NIcomede’s Chapel and the frescoed halls.

Private guided tour to a winery. From the main court of Torrechiara castle, a pleasant walk through the vineyards will allow to understand the cultivation and pruning techniques of grapes.
Afterwards, the tour will go through the cellars to show the production stages.
At the end, three different wines will be tasted: the Malvasia Frizzante will be matched with Parma ham, while the Montefiore Rosso and the Colli di Parma Rosso will be combined with different seasonings of Parmigiano.
