The Sistine Chapel is a chapel in the Apostolic Palace, the official residence of the pope, in Vatican City.Tthe chapel takes its name from Pope Sixtus IV. Today, it is the site of the papal conclave, the process by which a new pope is selected. The fame of the Sistine Chapel lies mainly in the frescos that decorate the interior, most particularly the Sistine Chapel ceiling and The Last Judgment by Michelangelo.

Your tour ends inside the Basilica. After you’ve finished exploring with your group, you can stay as long as you want on your own. It’s the perfect time to head down into the crypts or climb up to the top of St. Peter’s dome (own expense) for uninterrupted views of Rome.
When St. Peter’s Basilica is closed or not accessible your tour will end at the Sistine Chapel, in this case, you will spend more time inside Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museums, It is over our control, so no refunds or discounts will be issued.
St. Peter’s Basilica is not included until further notice due to Covid-19 rescrictions
