From the Esquiline hill by taxi you will reach the Holy Steps, the so-called “Scala Santa” thought to be the staircase in Pilate’s house, which Jesus descended after being sentenced to death. Visit to the Church of the Holy Cross of Jerusalem where you will admire two thorns from the Crown of Thorns, part of a nail and three small wooden pieces from the true cross.
