Nicholas Chapel : One of the off limits area of the Vatican Museums is the Chapel of Pope Nicholas V. Here you will enter a tiny chapel that was painted by the Dominican Monk Fra Angelico from the 1448; the Chapel is considered a real treasure of art of early Renaissance. The frescoes have very bright colours and they are representing scenes from the life of St. Steven and St. Lawrence.

You will see the famous Sistine Chapel. This is the most famous masterpiece of the museum. Here you can admire the spectacular frescoes by Michelangelo such as the Last Judgement and the Creation of the World with stories of the life of Noah as well.

Finally you will proceed to the St.Peter’s Basilica, the most important Basilica in the world. Here you will have the chance to see the famous Michelangelo’s Pietà and the Bernini’s Baldacchino

Bramante Staircase is another special place closed to the public and it is visitable only with special admission. The Bramante’s staircase is a double helix staircase built for the Pope Julius II to allow him to access to his apartments with his horse carriage.

The Raphael’s Rooms where commissioned to the young Raphael by the Pope Julius II who had in the 1500s at his service the best artists such as Bramante, Raphael and Michelangelo. Raphael will be in charge to paint his apartment and among the several paintings you will see the School of Athens where Raphael is representing himself as well and many characters from the time including his friend the architect Bramante and his rival Michelangelo. Inside the same room there are the frescoes of the Dispute over the Sacraments and the Parnassus

Pio clementine Museum and the galleries part of it. You will see many important rooms such as the Octagonal courtyard where are preserved many antiques statues such as the Laocoon, the apollo of Belvedere, then you will proceed to the Room of the animals, Room of Muses where is the Torso, the Round Room with beautiful giant roman statues and the bath-tub of Nero!

You will make your way to the Raphael rooms and Sistine chapel and see the spectacular upper galleries once part of the Pontifical apartments, you will walk through the gallery of the Candelabra, Tapestries, Maps and proceed to the Room of the Immaculate Conception before reaching the Raphael rooms.
