Day 1: Colosseum , Roman Forum , Palatine Hill and the Catacombs

You will visit Rome’s symbolic monument with an exclusive private tour that makes it easy and fun for all ages. Learn about the amphitheater’s history from a guide with an art and archaeology background.

In the vast precinct that held the baths, the citizens could not only use the public baths but also dedicate their time to doing exercise, visiting the library, walking through the gardens or worshipping the god Mithras and other pagan divinities by visiting the temple. The baths make up an architectural wonder when you keep in mind the date of their construction since they included effective water supply systems, as well as heating and drainage systems. Covered with marble and decorated with valued works of art, the Baths of Caracalla were the most sumptuous baths to be built in ancient times.

Damaged several times by fire, the Circus Maximus was almost completely rebuilt under the Principate of Trajan, and most of the structures visible today were built during its reign. Numerous works were carried out by later emperors, including the spectacular erection of the gigantic obelisk, now in the Lateran Hill, brought to Rome by Constant II in 357 AD.

Day 2: Sightseeing tour of the historical center, Vatican Museun and Sistine Chapel

Admire the beauty of the enlightened Spanish Square, one of the most famous squares in Rome. Located in the heart of the roman historical city centre, the square hosts fascinating and incredible masterpieces.

In the middle of the square rises the famous Barcaccia Fountain, dating to the beginning of the baroque period, sculpted by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and his father. At the same time, the square is crowned by the impressive Spanish Steps, an imposing 135-step staircase decorated with many garden-terraces, splendidly adorned with flowers in spring and summer. The sumptuous, aristocratic staircase, was designed so that the scenic effects increase more and more while approaching to it, as typical feature of the great baroque architecture.
