La Traviata in Rome
La Traviata is an opera in three acts composed by Giuseppe Verdi to a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave and was staged for the first time on March 6, 1853 at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. Verdi decided to present an original and provocative theme to the public of Venice, choosing to base the story on La dame aux Camélias (1852), adapted from the novel by Alexandre Dumas (son). The work was originally entitled “Violetta”, the name of the protagonist. It is still the most performed in the world today.

The soloists of Opera and Lirica, coming from the main Italian musical realities, will perform accompanied by choir and orchestra. It is a unique and unforgettable experience inside the wonderful and refined Flaiano Theater in Rome.
