The Gallery is the part of Palazzo Doria Pamphilj behind which lies the most interesting and oldest history, made up of nobility, politics and the unions between some of the most important noble families.

The Doria-Pamphilj Gallery is situated in the Palace with the same name, built between the middle of the fifteenth and the beginning of the eighteenth century, that previously belonged to the Della Rovere family, then became the property of the Aldobrandini family from 1601 and of the Pamphilj family from 1647, after the marriage between Olimpia Aldobrandini and Camillo Pamphilj.

This storytelling walking tour revolves around 7 historical women who lived in Renaissance Rome.

They were dancers, great singers, or poets, and this gave them the chance to emerge from poverty.
Nowadays we still find them in some of the most famous canvases painted by Caravaggio and Raphael. This is the only tour of its kind, the only one that delves deep into the Women's side of History. It houses the Galleria Doria Pamphilj, an incredibly opulent and valuable art collection housed in the private home of the Doria Pamphilj dynasty, a series of statesmen and powerful aristocrats.

Most of the works are still hanging in the places selected by the original collectors; many are famous masterpieces. Among the Italians: Titian, Tintoretto, Correggio, Raphael, Caravaggio, Carracci… Among the foreign masters, the most important are Velazquez, Rubens, Claude Lorrain, Velvet Breughel and many other important artists of their era.

Are you art lovers ? let's dream for a couple of hours how was and is living in a noble palace in the art of Rome, surrounded by known artworks ! The palace was started in the 15th century , It passed to the Pamphili family who enlarged it , until it became the most important inhabited palace in the city. It's larger than some European royal palaces, and still is the residence of the noble family . The sumptuous gallery contains an important collection of paintings and art objects, some of them are mastepieces such as Cravaggio, Hans Memling, Raphael, Titian , Jan Brueghel artworks. It's a package price, doesn't change from 1 to 10 partecipants.
Due to covid restrictions, tickets must be purchased in advance. Partecipants are kindly requested to refund the guide for the tickets purchased by the agency directly on the spot, before starting the visit . Entrance fee are 15 euro for adults , free for chld under 12 y.o.
