Chiavari is a hidden gem in the Italian Riviera, just in front of Portofino, on the other side of the gulf.
You will be charmed by the old center with its alleyways flanked by arcades. Chiavari is a lively town not touched by tourism yet. It has preserved old food and artisans’ shops passed down from generations.
Accompanied by your local expert guide, you will discover the food market, the ancient shops and the ancient aristocratic palaces. You will be welcomed in the workshops of artisans such as the woodcarver or the ancient candle factory. It will look like stepping back in time while you find out small food shops such as for example the one selling tripes, with its marble stall.
You will take a relaxing break in an ancient pastry shop dating back to the late nineteenth century, tasting local cookies.
