Its construction was completed in 1497 and at the request of the Duke, Ludovico il Moro, it was destined to become the mausoleum of the Sforza family.
Today, the Santa Maria delle Grazie is an UNESCO World Heritage Site, and one of Milan’s finest examples of Renaissance and Gothic architecture.
Access is 9.30 am to 12.30 pm or 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Saturday. Please note that entrance to Santa Maria delle Grazie is free of charge – the price is for the app-based audio guide. The Last Supper by Leonardo da Vinci is not inside Santa Maria delle Grazie contrary to what available information says.
