What to Expect When Visiting Morro d’Alba, Marche, Italy

Invite your senses to participate in an essential history lesson of Le Marche’s wine culture with a guided tour within one of the region’s oldest wineries, complete with wine tasting of native fine wines served alongside a selective platter of local meats.

Established since 1850, this is one of the most historical winery’s within the Le Marche region of Italy, where to this day, the wines are still produced within the original structure of the historic wine cellar. This is where the tour will begin, where you will be shown around its various purpose built production areas, guided through the history of the founders of the winery and it’s villa estate and showns examples of the winerys bottle archive, whilst learning more about the historical wines produced here including those native to the Le Marche region.

After the visit within the wine cellar has concluded, you will be invited to head over to a viewing area where you can take in some of the landscape of the winery’s vinyards and take an opportunity to walk amongst the grapevines.

From here, you will then be taken to the seating area within our historic barrel room or over at the outdoor tasting area overlooking some of the vineyards and provided with a wine selection of three example wines served with a delicious selective platter of local meats and cheeses. The native wines include Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi doc (white wine), Lacrima di Morro d’Alba doc (red wine), Rosso Piceno (red wine), however with 45 hectares of privately owned vinyards, we also offer a variety of other quality still and sparkling wines, grappa, Extra-Vergine Olive Oils, and speciality products which may be alternatively chosen or added to your wine tasting experience.
