Stop At: Tindari, Tindari, Patti, Province of Messina, Sicily

Visit of Tindari, an ancient Greek colony, located on a hill overlooking the Thyrrenic Sea; the town archaeological area encloses several remains of Greek and Roman civilizations, as the Greek Amphitheatre or the ancient city walls. Tindari is also a pilgrimage destination for its sanctuary of the “Madonna Nera” (the Black Madonna). From the panoramic square, it is possible to admire the magnificent view of the Tyrrhenian coast and of the naturalistic reserve of the Laghetti di Marinello (Marinello’s Lakes).

Stop At: Cefalu, Cefalu, Province of Palermo, Sicily

Located at the bottom of a rocky cliff, Cefalù is one of the nicest villages of Sicily and one of the main seaside destinations of the island. During the walk among the alleys of this small town, you will appreciate the medieval urban setting and the landscape, dominated by the rocky cliff known as Rocca di Cefalù, at the top top of which you can find the ruins of an ancient Saracen castle. An important monument to see is the magnificent Cathedral of Cefalù, one of the finest examples of the Norman architecture in Sicily, included in the Unesco sites list in 2015

Stop At: Riserva Naturale Orientata Laghetti di Marinello, 98066, Patti, Sicily Italy

The “Laghetti di Marinello” is a lagoon area created at the end of the XIX century by the movements of the seafloor of the Tyrrhenian Sea; the accumulation of the sand and gravel on the coast created these incredible saltwater lakes. In summertime, it will be possible to visit the lakes rather than Tindari and the Sanctuary.
