Your private English speaking driver will meet you on the pier of Messina Port, where your ship will be docked, and during the initial briefing he will give you an overview of the schedule to be sure all the sites/attractions you are interested in, are included. If desired, he will be happy to suggest places for lunch, shopping, etc.
Stop At: Taormina, Taormina, Province of Messina, Sicily
Taormina is a small town considered one of the jewels of Sicily. Perched on a cliff at 200 meters high, Taormina offers an incredible view of the sea and the Etna volcano. See the Corso Umberto, the main street that crosses the whole center of Taormina. Flanked on both sides by a succession of luxury boutiques, clothes, jewellery, and souvenirs, and the Piazza IX Aprile, one of the best viewpoint in Taormina, with a huge panoramic terrace overlooking the bay below and the Etna.
Have a look at the cathedral of Taormina, the Villa Comunale, which houses a large public garden and visit the most famous monument of Taormina, the Greek theatre; it dates from the 3rd century BC and is remarkably well preserved.

According to your preference and time permitting, a visit to Castelmola village will give you the chance to admire a site of ancient origins dating back to the Greek period. It used to be Taormina’s acropolis, probably because of its position, which was higher than the surrounding villages. For this reason, the histories of this two cities have always been entwined. In the late afternoon, return back to your ship.
