Private Cooking Lesson in Chianti Farm with Lunch

FI Trip Overview

It is a cooking course where guests will be an active part of the course. Not a demonstration course but guests will literally get their hands on it! You learn simple recipes of our tradition, which can be easily recreated at home. The course takes place on my farm where I produce saffron oil, vegetables and raise chickens: the ingredients we will use are all very fresh, many of which are our own production. If the weather permits, we will take the course outdoors with a view of vineyards and olive trees and then eat what we have prepared in the open air. The farm stands on top of a hill in an oasis of peace and tranquility away from noise, cars and pollution. On request we can make a vegetarian menu.

What to Expect When Visiting FI, Toscana, Italy

The cooking school will start around 10:30 in the morning, but not before we have met, talked a bit, and maybe made a short tour of the farm property where we can admire our olive grove and the field where I grow saffron. Then, together, we will learn how to make homemade pasta, using our garden herbs and our extra virgin olive oil. We will also learn how to make different pasta shapes (tagliatelle, ravioli). I will teach you how to make pizza dough and how to have so many different recipes from this versatile dough.
We will prepare a complete menu including appetizers, first courses, main courses, side dishes and dessert and we will sip some good local wine maybe a nice Chianti from the area!
Then after cooking if the weather permits … we will enjoy lunch outdoors in the garden overlooking the vineyards and olive trees immersed in the nature of Chianti … there is nothing more relaxing and fulfilling than enjoying the peace and the tranquility that the Tuscan countryside can give us !! Our farm is located on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and woods at 360 degrees, therefore an oasis of relaxation guaranteed !!

Sample Menu

• Homemade ravioli with fresh tomato sauce and basil pesto. – Handmade ravioli stuffed with fresh ricotta and Parmesan cheese served with fresh cherry tomato cream and homemade pesto.
• Homemade pici with beef ragout – Handmade pici alla Toscana served with rich beef ragout cooked for 3 hours.
• Chocolate salami – Tasty dessert based on melted chocolate and dry biscuits.
