BIRDWATCHING
We will reach on foot the sighting tower 500 mt (round trip 1 Km) going up by a comfortable lift to the sighting plane at 10 mt height.
THE TOUR OF THE “CHIARO” – Walking or mountain bike tour
It is a ring around the lake with very little gradient, about 12 kilometers of mixed path with safe and free white road, it allows the sighting of birds that live in complete freedom in the Reserve.
For the Mountai-Bike tour there is a supplement of Euro 20,00 per person.

The tour starts from our winery. The guide will lead you to discover the Montepulciano Lake, one of the 14 natural reserves of the Province of Siena. It is one of the few freshwater environments left in central Italy where migratory birds, in their routes between Europe and Africa, can spend the winter, nest or simply stop for a few days during their long journey. Here it will be possible to have multiple experiences in contact with nature. You will have the opportunity to spot numerous species of water birds and admire the lake area that extends for about 70 hectares. Its waters are called eutrophic, that is to say with high productivity due to the decomposition of the present plant species. The observation of the rich bird life is possible following the paths built inside the Reserve. At the end of the tour, the scents and colors of our vineyards will await you. We will let you know the secrets of winemaking, starting from the harvest to the aging. Everything will then be followed by a tasting of the wines of our production accompanied by a delicious Tuscan menu with a first choice, a platter of cheeses and cured meats, plus dessert.
