With the help of our docents, you will discover how master craftsmen create beautiful hand-blown glass on the island of Murano for centuries (2 hrs.). Afterwards, parents can enjoy a leisurely aperitivo (aperitif on their own) or a stroll while your kids learn about the art of glass blowing and create original works using hand blown Venetian glass beads (1.5 hrs.). Itinerary
Visit an actual Glassblowing Furnace on the Venetian island of Murano. Our docents will help you discover the fine art of the master craftsmen who have been creating beautiful hand-blown glass objects and artworks here for centuries. Families will then return to Venice where the kids get to create their very own Murano glass bead fantasy creations.
– Families arrive by boat where our guide will take them to visit a working glass furnace or two, to see Venetian glass-blowing artisans in action (1.5 hrs)
– Families will then have a break to visit shops, have lunch and explore on their own
– Families return by Waterbus or Watertaxi to Venice city center where kids will get to create their very own light catchers, necklaces or fantasy creations using our master craftsman’s handblown glass beads – no two alike! Parents can enjoy some quiet time or join in on the creativity!
