Stop At: Museo Geopaleontologico di Camposilvano, Via Covolo 1, 37030, Verona Italy
The museum is absolutely a go-to when you are visiting Lessinia and the countryside. Thanks to the abundant presence of fossils, characterizing the entire area this museum has become a reference within the scientific community in Veneto. But the founder, who started collecting fossils longer than 50 years ago, was also keen in anthropology and folk legends, thus the collection has been enriched with finds coming from a prehistoric village ( about 1600 years BC) and other, more recent, interesting items owned by locals. The exhibition includes a complete skeleton of Ursus spelaeus, a bear now extinguished.
