Hachinohe Shuzo offers tours of their sake brewery to show visitors the facilities and the brewing process.
Tour duration is about 1 hour. (Mon- Fri and Saturdays in winter) The tour includes sake tasting.
The brewery is very particular about using organic natural rice and yeast grown in Aomori prefecture to create a safe and delicious local sake that is both environmentally friendly and suitable for today’s health-conscious people. They also use clean and clear water from the Kanisawa area of Hachinohe to meet these concerns.

Since olden times Hachinohe city had been a flourished port town, and bars were made to cater to the fishermen who would want to drink after a long day out in the sea.
