Itinerary
Start with a greeting and some fresh homemade vegan rolls and jam for a quick breakfast before we set off and while I give you an idea of the hike we are about to do.
Then we will set off over the walkway, across town and up through Toshogu shrine where I will point out interesting features. We follow shrine etiquette and follow the path through the Fox’s altar to the many red Tori gates welcoming us to the beginning of the hike.
There are a few small altars along the way and we will soon arrive at the top to view the Peace Pagoda (Busharido) and take time to enjoy the views of Hiroshima city as far as the islands beyond. We can enjoy yoga stretching, meditation and enjoying more homemade rolls, jam and tea before heading back down the mountain the way we came to return to our starting point at the station.
