You can spend one day in the north suburbs of Kyoto, visiting important places in this area.
For example:
We visit Kurama temple well known as of power spot and nice panoramic view.
Since the temple is located in Mt. Kurama, we can enjoy walking up in the mountain to get to there.
Going on hiking trail in the mountain, we will arrive Kibune area.
After the lunch break, we visit another important place”Kifune shrine” the guardian shrine of water in Kyoto. We will back to Kurama area where you can see some local shops.
If you’d like, you can also enjoy hot springs”ONSEN” there,
before we take train back to the city.

What to Expect When Visiting Kyoto, Kyoto Prefecture, Japan

We will take a local train ”Eizan-dentetsu” and heading for north part of Kyoto. You can enjoy the view of local town and houses and later train goes into greenly mountain view.

Going through the gate, we start walking up to the main hall of the Kurama-dera temple. It takes about 30 minutes on foot.

Stop At: Yuki Shrine, 1073 Kuramahonmachi, Sakyo-Ku, Kyoto 601-1111 Kyoto Prefecture
Yuki-jinja Shrine~Yuki-jinja Shrine dates from the founding of Heian-Kyo (Kyoto), and was established to protect the northern quarter of the city from evil influences.

Kurama-dera Temple~Many people visit this temple since it is believed as one of the power spots in Japan.

Stop At: Mt. Kurama, Sakyo-Ku, Kyoto 601-1111 Kyoto Prefecture
After visiting Kurama-dera temple, we keep continue our way to Kibune area by hiking in Mt. Kurama heading for Kibune area.

Stop At: Okunoin Maoden, 1074, KuramahonmachI, Sakyo-Ku InsIde Kurama Temple, Kyoto Kyoto Prefecture
On the way to Kifune area, there is a quiet place with a small shrine called Okunoin Mao- den where the spirit Kurama (Mao-son) is descended.
The regent said that Mao-son is the king of the conqueror of evil and the spirit of the earth, descended this place from Venus.
Duration: 10 minutes
Stop At: Kifune Shrine, 180 Kurama Kibunecho, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto 601-1112 Kyoto Prefecture
After arriving Kibune area, we will have lunch in the area.
There are some cozy local restaurants where you can have simple lunch. After lunch, you can visit Kifune shrine, another important sites in this area.

Stop At: Kurama Onsen, 520 Kuramahommachi, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto 601-1111 Kyoto Prefecture
Kurama Onsen (Optional*) ~ If you’d like you can drop by and enjoy the hot springs ”Kurama Onsen ” near Kurama station. It’s a cozy Spa where you canenjoy takeing bath with open air with greenly view.
*If you need to try Onsen, you can customized the itinerary and add one more place instead of hot springs.
