A red brick building with exotic atmosphere that was used as warehouses or munitions storehouses. Navy Curry is also famous.
Building No. 1 (Maizuru World Brick Museum) The world’s first museum centered on the theme of “bricks.” The museum exhibits include bricks from countries all over the world, information on their histories, and other fascinating materials.
Building No. 2 (Maizuru City Commemoration Hall) Introduces the history of Maizuru from the Meiji era to the present day. There is also a café.
Building No. 3 (Maizuru Wisdom Warehouse) Sale of locally produced goods, among other features.
Building No. 4 (Red Brick Studio) The wooden doorways, staircases, glass windows and other features still have their original form. Today, the structure is a center for creative activity by city residents. Facilities include creativity workspace and studios.
Building No. 5 (Red Brick Event Hall) Inside, this building has been turned into a multi-purpose hall that can be arranged for all kinds of purposes. It is now used for concerts, bazaars and other events.

Michi-no-Eki Maizuru Port has the biggest fish market in Kyoto prefecture, which is one of the largest seafood markets on the Sea of Japan. The fish traders of the Maizuru Fish Market, the biggest one in the Kyoto Prefecture Fishery Association, have their own shops here. The freshness, pricing and variety of the seafood are outstanding.
Michi-no-Eki Maizuru Port has the biggest fish market in Kyoto prefecture, which is one of the largest seafood markets on the Sea of Japan. Goro Dake is situated between Higashi Maizuru and Nishi Maizuru. A panorama of the deeply indented ria shoreline and scattered islands—part of the beauty of Maizuru Bay, which has been chosen as the most scenic spot in the Kinki area—can be enjoyed from the observation tower at a height of 301.2 meters. There is an adjoining café where coffee, tea and a light meal can be enjoyed.

Stop At: Maizuru Repatriation Memorial Museum, Taira Repatriation Memorial Park, Maizuru 625-0133 Kyoto Prefecture
The repatriation of around 6.6 million Japanese people began in September 1945, first from the U.S. military district. By the end of 1947, repatriation was virtually completed from the Australian, Southeast Asian, and Chinese military districts. In contrast, repatriation from the USSR military district did not proceed smoothly, despite beginning in December 1946. To facilitate repatriation, the Japanese government designated 18 ports as entry facilities for Japanese military and civilian repatriates. From 1950 onward, however, the Port of Maizuru became the only such port. Until the entry of the last repatriation ship in 1958, Maizuru received 346 ships (in total) carrying approximately 660,000 people.

Western regions 29th label place. It is famous as temple where “French dance” is held let alone beauty, cultural assets of the precincts.
Located halfway up Mount Aoba, Matsunoodera Temple is the 28th temple of the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage and enshrines Batō Kannon, the guardian deity for horses. In addition to its history, the temple is also famous for the beauty of its gardens, the large number of Cultural Properties it houses, and the unusual Hotokemai buddhist dance that has been passed down since the Edo period that takes place here. Performers of Hotokemai wear masks of the three deities Dainichi Nyorai, Shaka Nyorai and Amida Nyorai, and dance elegantly to Etenraku music. This dance has been designated as a prefectural Intangible Cultural Property and takes places on May 8th every year.

Stop At: Gorogadake Park, Maizuru Kyoto Prefecture
Gorogadake Park is located on the top of Mt. Gorogadake in the city of Maizuru in Kyoto Prefecture. It contains a plaque that commemorates the establishment of sister city relations with Nakhodka, Russia, as well as several plazas and lawns, one of which is named after Nakhodka. In addition, the observation room in Goro Sky Tower, located at the top of the hill, offers visitors who pay the admission fee a panoramic view of the city of Maizuru and Maizuru Bay. This view has been selected as one of the 100 best scenic views in the Kinki region.

Stop At: Kongoin, 595 Kahara, Maizuru 625-0014 Kyoto Prefecture
Kongoin Temple is said to have been opened by the monk Takaoka Shinno at the beginning of the Heian era and later revived by Emperor Shirakawa. Temple structures like the three story pagoda, main temple hall, and Unzankaku hall blend into the surrounding scenery, enticing the eyes of visitors. In addition to the beautiful first green of spring and winter snow scenery, the temple surrounded by vibrant autumn leaves is also an amazing sight. This scenery was even beautifully depicted in the novel “The Temple of the Golden Pavilion.” The three story pagoda has been designated as an important cultural property. Also, there are numerous cultural properties stored and displayed here.
