Itinerary

This fun and soothing experience takes place at a “monk bar” in Nakano, run by an actual Buddhist priest, and it comes with perks; you will be treated to a complimentary drink from a selection of Buddhist-inspired cocktails!

During this session, you get to draw Buddhist mandala symbols that originate from India, the birthplace of Buddhism, on your body or your friend’s. After learning about the art of mandala from the instructor, it’s time to try your hand at henna body art. You might find those symbols a bit complicated at first glance, but no need to be intimidated as the instructor will walk you through each and every step. Plus, the henna stain will fade after a few weeks so there’s room for mistakes!

Once you’re done drawing divine symbols, how about ending the experience on a fun note? Take many pictures of your work and enjoy chatting with the instructor while waiting for the henna paste to dry!
