Yotsuya Station, Akasaka Exit: Your tour to visit the spots in the movie “Your Name” starts here! This is the spot where the main character met up with his longing person. Your guide will tell you the spot where you can have the same angle as in the movie!

Stop At: Taiyaki Wakaba, Japan, 〒160-0011 東京都新宿区若葉１丁目１０

Taiyaki Wakaba: This is not a spot shown up in the movie, but it is worth stopping by. This spot is a “Taiyaki” shop with a long history in Yotsuya. “Taiyaki” is a fish-shaped cake with filling inside. The bean paste filling is not too sweet and it is a must to try it! They will serve you freshly baked one if you by it over the counter on the street!

Stop At: Hozoji Temple, 1-1-6 Wakaba, Shinjuku 160-0011 Tokyo Prefecture

The postbox on the forked road by Hozoji Temple: This is the path where the main characters ran in search of each other in the movie. The movie is gradually turning in to its climax from this scene!

Tofukuin Hill: This spot shows up in the next scene after the scene of the path you visited earlier on this tour. This is the slope where the two main characters couldn’t meet up even though they were searching near each other. You can take a photo from the same angle as the movie!

In front of Shinanomachi Station (Docomo Tower): Do you remember the structure like a tower showed up in the opening cut of the movie? This is a structure which has showed up many times in other movies of Shinkai Makoto.

The pedestrian bridge in front of Shinanomachi Station: This is the footbridge that was described in the scene which the main character and his longing person dating. You will have a good view from it!

The avenue of ginkgo biloba trees in front of Meiji Jingu Gaien: A tree-lined avenue with ginkgo trees. In autumn, the leaves turn to gold which is very beautiful and it is also a spot with history related to the Japanese emperor. It is used as a commuting road in the movie.
