Stop At: George Town, George Town, Penang Island, Penang

We start the morning from a Georgetown central point where you will be greeted by your guide. As we mainly forego using cars and vans and will blend in with the local community, we highly recommend booking a downtown Georgetown hotel for this excursion. Food and eating are just the bare essentials of what makes Penang and Georgetown in particular, such a high-in-demand destination. The influences of multiple cultures and nationalities and flavours have created a food culture beyond your wildest imagination. Your guide will venture with you into local streets, finding examples of the true Penang’s food and beverage society such as Teh Tarik, Assam Laksa, Char Koay Teow and all ‘washed’ away with a good scoop of Ice Cendol. A culinary journey that leaves you wanting for more…

Living peacefully among each other, religion has been an important part of Georgetown since the first settles set foot on Penang. You’ll see churches standing within walking distance from temples, whether they be Indian and Chinese and with the sound of a mosque in the background, calling Muslims for their daily prayer, it is all within a short distance walk.

Finally, what will make you fall in love with Georgetown only can be described when you can fully focus your camera and all your senses when somebody does all the transportation work for you. A relaxing trishaw ride that turns around corners with new surprises and photo genetic moments to dive deeper into Georgetown’s unmistakable characteristics such as the world-famous street art examples, with thanks to the awesome efforts of Lithuanian artist, Ernest Zacharevic. His endeavours in brightening up the city successfully with his artworks showcases the funny, fascinating, and very much open to everyone’s interpretations side of Georgetown.

Unfortunately, this marks the end of our morning tour before we walk back to the central meeting point in Georgetown.
