Standing majestically atop Bukit Nanas at 421 meters and 94 meters above sea level, KL Tower is a prominent feature of the city’s skyline and perhaps one of the most enduring images a visitor to KL will remember. Its architecture reflects the country’s Islamic heritage, with the construction detailing Arabic scripts, Islamic tiles, and classic Islamic floral and abstract motifs and soothing color combinations.

Besides the panoramic view, KL Tower has something for city dwellers who love nature. The verdant green surrounding Menara KL is the Bukit Nanas Forest – the only oldest gazette forest reserve in the country. It covers an area of 10.05 hectares and is considered the green lung of Kuala Lumpur. It is sanctuary to a wonderful array of flora and fauna, unique to the country’s tropical climate.

At a height of 451.9m, the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers is a world-renowned icon of modern Malaysia. It is the centre piece of the Kuala Lumpur city centre (KLCC) development, which comprises landmarks such as the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The space between the two towers is linked by the Sky bridge at Levels 41 and 42. This is the world’s highest two-storey bridge.

Masjid Negara is one of the most distinguished landmarks in the city. It has a unique star-shaped dome and a 73m high minaret. The National Mosque is situated fringing the KL Lake Gardens. Visitors are advised to dress appropriately when visiting the mosque. Women will be required to wear headscarves.

The iconic Sultan Abdul Samad building is located in front of Dataran Merdeka. This historical building houses the Supreme and High Courts. The building with unique Moorish designs and clock tower is widely photographed by visitors to the city centre.

The Merdeka Square is located exactly opposite the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and right beside the Royal Selangor Club. This is the historical place where the Union Flag was lowered and the Malayan flag was raised for the very first time at the struck of midnight of 31st August 1957. From then on, Merdeka Square has been the venue for the annual Merdeka Parade.

Central Market was originally a wholesale and retail wet market. A great place to find crafts and ornaments, the Central Market is one of the city’s prominent heritage buildings. It is a fine example of the 1930s Art Deco style with a stepped entrance design, unifying elements at the windows and doors as well as wrought iron panels. Just outside, Kasturi Walk beckons visitors with an exciting outdoor shopping experience.

The Exchange 106 is a skyscraper under construction within the Tun Razak Exchange area, a new financial district currently being developed in Kuala Lumpur. The 106-floor building is topped with a 65-meter, 12-storey high illuminated crown making it 492 m tall. With its completion, the Exchange 106 skyscraper has officially dethroned the Petronas Twin Towers, at 452m, as the tallest in Malaysia.

Visitors will get to sample many types of chocolates for free, and find over 100 types of chocolate variety to purchase as gifts to loved ones back home or simply for self-indulgence. The creativity of Beryl’s has resulted in chocolate variants that are available only in Malaysia, such as Chili Chocolate, Durian Chocolate, Green Tea Chocolate and chocolate made from various fruits.
