Itinerary
It is only allowed to swim with the whale shark on its Sanctuary, which is a Protected Natural Area regulated by the authorities following the next protocol:
● The whale shark refuge area has a capacity for a maximum of 14 boats at the same time.
● Entry permit must be requested at the corresponding CONANP checkpoint every morning where we will be assigned with an entry number
● Waiting time can vary from 15 minutes to 3 hours depending on demand
of the day and the shift assigned by CONANP
● Once entering the area, we are allowed to stay in it for a maximum of 2 hours to carry out
the snorkeling activity following the instructions of your certified guide
