CHICLERO CAMP in the Ruta de Cenotes !!
You’ll visit a jungle camp where I explain how the workers live and work there in the jungle. I will also explain the history of the jungle camps in Mexico, the cenotes, animals, plants and the medicinal uses of the plants. The camp exists for 75 years and currently 10 people live and work there!!

Stop At: Leona Vicario, Leona Vicario, Yucatan Peninsula
Then on to Leona Vicario, a small Mexican town without tourism, deep in the jungle. Once there, I tell you the history of the town and take you on a walk through the local fruit and vegetable market and the Zocalo (city square). Here you get into a tricitaxi (bicycle taxi for 2 people) and take a tour of the place to get to know this authentic small town. On the way you stop at the property of a resident, where I will explain how the Mexicans build their houses and the local cemetery, where I explain the difference how the Maya / Mexicans deal with death unlike us. Then on to a wood craftsman who uses a machine made from old car parts to make beautiful vases, sugar bowls and other useful items that you can buy at a fraction of the price of the shops in Playa and Cancun. Finally, we stop at a tortilleria, where I explain how the tortillas are made, you can take photos there and try the tortillas.

Cenote Verde Lucero in the Ruta de Cenotes !!
Visit an underground river and refresh yourself while swimming. The cenote is underground, has a diameter of 60 meters and is between 3m and 8m deep. When the sun shines on the crystal clear water, you can see to the bottom. You can slide into the water with the Zipline, jump 4 meters deep into the water of a cliff or comfortably descend the stairs to a platform and from there into the water.

Lunch on the beach
Now it’s time for a hearty lunch in a small restaurant right on the beach overlooking the fishing port and the beautiful turquoise Caribbean Sea. There are typical Mexican food on offer and you can choose from fish, shrimp or steak tacos, for vegetarians there are several salads to choose from.

At the end of the excursion you will stop in Puerto Morelos at a handicraft market where you can see how hammocks, jewelery and other handicrafts are made and can be bought at a much cheaper price than in Playa or Cancun.
