San Luis Potosi Trip Overview
Our adventure begins in the Huasteca Potosina in Tanchachín (Place of birds in the Teenek language), there we will take a traditional boat, where we will navigate the Tampaón River and its turquoise blue waters, the tour shows us a landscape of green nature between large canyons. Our boat will take us for about 2 hours to a point where we can marvel at the Tamul Waterfall, 105 meters high (344 ft) and the highest in San Luis Potosí. Our next stop will be the famous water cave or the “Cenote Huasteco” a spring with mountain waters inside a cave, the end of our journey is approaching. Once on land we will change to later be able to taste a delicious typical regional meal (Included).

Itinerary

Pass By: Tamul Waterfalls, Rioverde Con Direccion a Cd. Valles Tanchachin, Aquismon 79760 Mexico
We will navigate through the turquoise blue of the Tampaón River to be able to meet this majestic waterfall, the highest in San Luis Potosí with 300 feet (105 meters). On our way back we can stop to swim in a spring inside a cave.
We will be able to see huge canyons, birds, local culture and regional gastronomy. At the end of our tour we will eat a delicious traditional meal to start our return to San Luis Potosí.

Stop At: Cueva de Agua, Rio Tampaon, Aquismon Mexico
The water cave is a spring that emerges from the mountain water even of another color, crystalline and pure. We make this stop back on our way when we visit the base of the Tamul waterfall by the Tampaón River and in which we will have already traveled a good stretch for our return.
Here is an obligatory stop to rest a little, refresh ourselves from the sun, have a snack and hydrate ourselves, it is possible that we will see more people.
The Cueva del Agua, is also known as the Huasteco cenote, because being a small cave flooded by water that gushes out as a spring, they resemble the times of these characteristic formations of southern Mexico, all these attractions are found in the Huasteca Potosina, specifically in the municipality of Aquismón.
In summary, our journey begins in Tanchachín, from there we take the boat that will take us for 4 km upriver to see the waterfall, after that we will pass through the water cave and back to the pier to eat.
