Day 5: Day Excursion of Fes

Day excursion in Fes medina. After breakfast, you will begin your visit of “the oldest living Medina in the world” with a local official tour guide. You will tour the Medina with its “souks” (markets), stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine mosque and University.You will visit also the tomb of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II”. Lunch will be at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. After lunch you will continue your tour to visit the Najarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

Day 7: Merzouga Desert Excursion and night in camp

Merzouga excursion. Gnawa experience in Khamlia, visit Nomad museum and drive across Sahara dunes in 4×4. Enjoy camel trek in the afternoon to spend the night in a Berber tent under the stars. You will have dinner and we listen to drum music near campfire.

We drive to Essaouira, the coastal route offers beautiful scenery, an area famous for the Argan. Essaouira is known for its strong winds most of the year so it is known as the “City of the wind” thus it attracts surfers from all over the world. Essaouira knew many civilisations – including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture – however, it remains a small village with much history. Along the way you’ll see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees in the quest for riper food. Your overnight accommodation is at a Riad in the Medina.

We’ll depart for Marrakech. On our way – since this is the land of Argan culture – there’s an opportunity to visit the women’s co- operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties. Day 13: Guided Day Excursion in Marrakech

Your guide will ensure that you see the most important places of historical and cultural interest, including the Saadian tombs; the Palace of El Bahia and the Ben Youssef Coranic School.
