Itinerary
Day 1: Fes-Ifrane-Midelt-Erfoud-Rissani-Merzouga
Stop At: Fes, Fes, Fes-Meknes
We organize private tour from Fes with depart from your hotel at 8 am and begin your journey. Pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort built by the French in the 1930’s to resemble a Swiss village. Continue passing through the cedars forest in Azrou where you will see the monkeys then drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Most of the day will be spent winding your way through the beautiful forests, springs, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains and begin to descend towards the Sahara Desert. Halfway, you will stop for lunch in the town of Midelt, famous for its fossils and rocks, then continue towards Merzouga in the road. Stop to get a panoramic view of the a huge oasis of palm tree and reach to Merzouga in the afternoon. After having some mint tea, the guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the sandy dunes of the Erg Chebbi. Enjoy the beauty of the sunset on a camel and after 1-hour, you will reach to the desert camp to spend a night in a Berber tent. At your desert shelter, your camels are hobbled and mint tea is served. After a wonderful dinner, watch the stars until you fall asleep.

Day 2: FROM ERG CHEBBI DESERT – TINGHIR – DADES GORGES
Stop At: Dades Gorges, R704 Atlas Mountains, Boumalne Dades 45350 Morocco
Perhaps wake early to catch the desert sunrise before breakfast, then visit the holy town of Rissani, the birthplace of Moulay Ali Cherif — founder of Morocco’s ruling Alaouite Dynasty. Hop into your air-conditioned minivan and head to the oasis of Tinghir in the foothills of the High Atlas mountain range. Take a 1-hour walk along the Todgha River. Visit Berber villages with your guide and learn of the locals’ traditional lifestyle, then head on to the magnificent Todgha Gorge for lunch (own expense). In the afternoon, drive out through the Dades Valley along the famous ‘Road of 1,000 kasbahs.’ Visit one of the region’s ancient kasbahs and gain insight into the role it has played in the region’s history, then head on to your guest house in Dades Gorges for dinner and your overnight accommodation.

Day 3: DADES VALLEY TO MARRAKECH AND AIT BENHADDOU
Stop At: Marrakech, Marrakech, Marrakech-Safi
After breakfast at your hotel, travel out by minivan through the Valley of Roses to Kelaa Mgouna, a famous rose plantation. Visit one of the rose-growing cooperatives and learn how workers blend distilled rose water with rose-scented perfumes. Continue on past the date trees and palm groves of the Skoura oasis to kasbah Amridil and listen as your guide details its construction and history. Travel through Ouarzazate — also known as ‘The Gate of The Sahara’ — and onward for lunch.
at the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou kasbah. Explore the kasbah with your guide and hear of the many famous films and photo shoots in which it has featured over the years. In the afternoon, take the Tizi n’Tichka through the Atlas mountain range, where rural Berber villagers herd their flocks the way they have for centuries. In the early evening, arrive back at your riad or hotel in Marrakech.
