You will be working inside a monumental building, constructed in 1656, while enjoying the beautiful view of Leiden’s most prestigious inner gardens (‘hofje’). It all adds up to a very exclusive experience!

Itinerary
In the beginning, I welcome you to where the workshop will take place. We’ll then get to know each other better, chatting over a cup of tea or coffee.
The workshop starts with me explaining about leather and introducing the basic tools required for leatherwork.
You will each be provided with a piece of leather and all tools necessary for making your specific craft of choice.
Together, we will work step by step, me checking every step to assure that it has been done perfectly and help resolve any issues that you may have throughout the process, making sure that you pay special attention to all the little yet important details necessary for creating a perfect piece.
The workshop will be finalized by me teaching you to carve your name on your individual creation and thus, creating your own personalized brands on your unique products!
The diversity in the final products of this workshop and the fact that other participants may be making different handicrafts, gives you the chance to witness varied crafts being made on the same day and to become somewhat familiar with each.
