Stop At: Waitomo Glowworm Caves, 39 Waitomo Village Road, Waitomo Caves 3943 New Zealand
After arriving into Waitomo you will begin your tour through Waitomo Glowworm Caves! Follow your informative guide on a tour underground to view the icicle-shaped stalactites and learn how they were formed over. A boat ride takes you through the Glowworm Grotto, where you will be beneath thousands of twinkling glowworms in a breathtaking display. This is a truly surreal experience

Stop At: Te Puia Springs, Te Puia Springs, Gisborne Region, North Island
If you choose Te Puia as your Geothermal option you will marvel at the amazing Pōhutu geyser, which naturally erupts up to 30 metres (100ft) every 40 minutes or so. The valley is also full of hot springs, silica terraces, bubbling mineral-rich mud pools and other pools
which have been used over centuries by Māori for cooking and remedies. Here you will eat Sumptuous Buffet lunch incl. traditional hangi while sitting right in front of the geysers. If you are lucky you will also get to see the kiwi bird in the kiwi house!

If Whakarewarewa is chosen – this ticks both authentic Māori culture and geothermal, and what makes it unique is that it is actually a home – an authentic village: 20 Māori families live here, in fact, they’ve lived here for approximately 500 years.
There are erupting geysers, including Pōhutu, which is the largest and most active
natural geyser in the Southern Hemisphere. There’s also bubbling mud and steaming,
bubbling hot springs. At 12:30pm view a spectacular 30 minute Maori Cultural Experience from an award winning Kapa Haka group.

We will head to one of the most famous sites in New Zealand: Hobbiton! Follow an expert guide as they lead you through this expansive and amazing village! We’ll see all the great and memorable sties from the Shire, including the Green Dragon Inn and field where Bilbo’s birthday party was held! Along the way they’ll provide exclusive commentary about the films and set, as well as the interesting characters who’ve visited the set over the years. They will even help take photos of you besides the miniature homes and gardens.
Finish the tour at The Green Dragon, where you can enjoy a pint of Girdley Fine Grain, Oatbarton, Sackville cider, or Frogmorton Ginger Beer (own expense)!
