Make your own way to Queens Wharf in central Wellington in time for an 11.30am departure. After a safety briefing, board your helicopter and take off over the city from the waterfront helipad.
Fly north-east over Wellington’s harbor, and enjoy spectacular views as you soar over the Rimutaka mountain range and the Orongorongo Valley. Listen to your pilot’s on-board commentary as you swoop down over Palliser Bay, then come in to land at the Wharekauhau Country Estate.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by staff who will guide you to the Grand Lodge, where an elegant formal dining room flows through to an impressive country kitchen and conservatory. Wharekauhau pride themselves on provided an authentic farm-to-table experience, so you can rest assured that your lunch will be made with the finest, freshest local produce. In the stunning surroundings of the estate, tuck into a delicious 5-course lunch of gourmet cuisine, accompanied by carefully selected regional wines.
After enjoying the awe-inspiring views and delicious food of the Wharekauhau Country Estate, your pilot will escort you back to the helicopter for the return journey. Taking an alternate route back to the city, soak up the dramatic scenery of the Pencarrow coast, with views that stretch all the way to the South Island and the Southern Alps on a clear day.
