Stop At: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Sultan Qaboos St, Muscat 113 Oman
This is the first stop of the trip. Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in Oman and one of the largest in the world. The mosque is named after the late sultan of Oman – Sultan Qaboos.
You can visit the mosque from inside in the morning except on Friday. The dress code needs to be followed (full length trousers, shirt covering the arm and a head scarf for the ladies).

Stop At: Bait Al Zubair, Al-Saidiya Street, Muscat 113 Oman
The Museum is a small town house that has been converted to display old archaeological findings and Omani traditions such as national dress and jewelry.

Pass By: Mutrah Corniche, مسقط، Oman
This is the largest corniche in Oman and is very popular tourist site, with Mutrah Souq, and the famous Incense Burner located on it.
Stop At: Mutrah Souq, Al Bahri Rd Near Corniche Restaurant, 113 Oman
From the Mosque, proceed to the old part of Muscat city: the Muttrah Souq – a traditional Omani market. The Souq offers a wide range of goods, especially typical Omani souvenirs like Frankincense, the Omani Dagger or Khanjer and beautiful solver handicrafts and “Pashmina shawls”.

Stop At: Al Alam Palace, Waterfront Oman
At the heart of Old Muscat, is Al Alam Palace (translated as flag palace), is the most important of all royal residences of the Sultan. The palace, built in 1972, is a flamboyant example of contemporary Islamic design. The palace is not open to public but you can get a good view of the facade from the iron gates in the front.

Pass By: Al Jalali Fort, Oman
Jalali Fort, built by the Portuguese, is located on the opposite side of the harbor. It is not accessible for the public.
Pass By: Mirani Fort, Qasr Al Alam Street Old Muscat Oman
Mirani Fort, built by the Portuguese, stands directly behind Al Alam Palace.
