Probably the most important monument in Warsaw. It was completely destroyed during World War II and took several years to rebuild.
In 1980, the Royal Castle, together with the Old Town, was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Old Town of Warsaw, which is not too old in terms of building installations, after 80% of the buildings were destroyed during World War II.
At the beginning of the siege of Warsaw, the inhabitants did not want to surrender and fought by any means. The worst catastrophe in the city came after the Warsaw Uprising in 1944, not only in terms of buildings but also in terms of human lives, with more than 750,000 people killed.
There are plenty of historical monuments and churches, myths, traditions and interesting stories to discover.
You will see the impressive Royal Palace, which was completely destroyed during World War II, but rebuilt and considered one of the most important monuments of the Polish capital and history.
The Church of Agia Anna survived the war but the Cathedral of Agios Ioannis was blown down to the ground.
The Warsaw Mermaid awaits you at the market square with various myths, as well as the bell of wishes that have been decorated with various stories.
At the end you will see the famous Barbican which is one of the most picturesque places in the city.
Returning, you will see the statue of the little rebel who is directly related to the Warsaw Uprising during World War II. There is another same copy in the Warsaw Uprising Museum.

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier under the columns of the Saxon Palace has been in place since 1925. Devoted to the memory of Poles who had perished in combat during the periods 1914-18 and 1918-20.
During September of 1810, the Chopin family moved to Warsaw, as F. Chopin’s father was offered to teach French to the Warsaw Lyceum. Stayed at the second-floor apartment in the right-wing of the Saxon Palace. F. Chopin spent his first seven years of life in the Saxon Palace, and the Saxon Garden.
Behind the tomb of the unknown soldier is the famous Saski Garden, which is the oldest public park of the Polish capital and one of the oldest in the whole of Europe.

It is a part of the Royal Route, that runs from Warsaw’s Royal Castle, Old Town, south to King John III Sobieski’s 17th-century royal residence at Wilanów.
During the Warsaw Uprising, Nowy Świat was almost completely destroyed, but after the war, it was rebuilt and reverted to its early-19th-century appearance by the architect Zygmunt Stępiński.
Today, Nowy Świat boasts many monuments, churches, shops, restaurants, hotels, and cafes.
