Óbidos is beautifull and historic and walking along its castle walls can bring a sense of wonder. The village is ancient and well preserved making it seem like we’re back in the 14th century.

Nazaré is a colorful fishing village in central Portugal. Located almost 80mi north of Lisbon, this village will not disappoint those, who are looking for a peaceful vacation spot. Here you will feel the wonder of being under 100 foot waves. If you are lucky you may see some of the most renowned surfers catching them. Unlike other Portuguese towns, Nazaré does not have a monumental architecture or historic sites. However, the slow pace and genuine traditional lifestyle, make this charming town a great place to visit.

Our next stop will be Alcobaça, home of yet another UNESCO-listed site, the Alcobaça Monastery. Wrapped around a river, the Alcobaça Monastery is considered to be one of the most beautiful sites in Portugal. The monastery is the burial site of Pedro and Inês de Castro. You will hear all about their tragic love story back in the day.

Later we move on to Batalha where the famous Batalha Monastery was built in commemoration of the historical battle between Portuguese and Castilan troops in the 14th century. It is one of the most stunning buildings in Gothic architecture and Portuguese history.
